Ok, in addition to all the crap I've said about them... guess what!?!

You know how they are suppose to be this big badass CS school? They can't even get their freakign website or mail servers to stay up! I haven't been able to access my email for the past 3 days!!! ARGHHH... and even if they did take them down for maintenance, they should have at least have some sort of backup. This is the pits!!! I'm meeting up with some peeps and I don't even know what time or date now!

MAN! Why the hell am I there? $33k a year... for FIVE years no less. And when I get out and get a job, I'll be lucky to be making $30k a year... any Architects in this forum?

Well, while we are ripping on universities, I'll throw in my two cents and say that UC Berkeley sucks major ass.

LOL... I actually wanted to transfer to UC Berkeley this past summer and was really looking in to it. Then I found out you guys were accredited... DAMN! Heard you guys have an awesome weight room though! And West Coast weather? DAMN!!! Pittsburgh... is the most damn gloomy city I've ever been in.

ArkAoss ... I can't make out what you were saying... could you repost or edit?

Yea pitsburgh sucks, I dunno why I applied to a lot of schools that are in the east or south. I'm applying to the SCS (school of computer science) damn bastards won't accept my SAT II BIO 800 for the CIT (carnegie mellon institute of tech)

I think I'll stay in CA and go to Berkley (hope I get into CSEE), that is if i fail to get into Stanford (haha i don't think i can get in).

Well, I got accepted by the CS department 10 years ago, but didn't go there because it is such a small school in the middle of an old city. Really didn't enjoy the campus, but anyhow, it was a great CS school and it is still great now. If you transfer to CS, you will get AT LEAST 50k coming out.

BTW...UC Berkley is great...if you are Asian...lots of nice Asian girls!! My bro went there.....

I remember going to Carnagie Mellon twice. Once during high school they contacted me re: their Artificial Intelligence program and then again MBA time. I remember both times how amazingly depressing the campus was. Ugh.

Don't make me start on Cal State. I'm at San Jose State University (It's a Cal State Univ) and and you would think being in the capitol of the Silicon Valley they would have some descent ethernet lines. WELL THEY ONLY HAVE 15MBPS WIRED UP TO THE WHOLE FRICKIN SCHOOL... That's 15MBPS for school library, school admin, teacher staff, AND 1500 PPL IN THE DORMS. If you do the math it comes out to around 3kb/s per person...which is pretty sad. And don't get me started on the food...:(

Actually, I attend CSU Pomona now and I find it infinitely more pleasant than attending UC Berkeley. No more classes of 500 people, no three digit waiting list for classes and I almost always get the classes I want.

Hehehe, ArkAoss, tell the Mellon's that they have a fine educational institution. But everything else about it sucks!

Get this... I pay $33k a year, and then another $2k to $3k just for architecture supplies. Damn, I think they should foot the damn bill. And what's up with the Port Authority charge? They take like $25, so you can ride on the buses at no charge (other than the $25), but what about the people with cars? I haven't hopped on the bus since the summer at Pre-College. What a rip!

You said it Raspewtin! And on top of that, it doesn't look like I'll be making much when I get out... so everyday, I question why I'm still there. It's definitely not for my future damnit! I sure wish I was good at math/programming and what not...

Seewhy, that's another reason I want to get the hell outta CMU and go to Berkeley. The ratio here is horrid! And let me tell you the quality ain't that great either!

My freaking high school had better looking girls, a better sports program/facilities and environment than this blackhole.
