Carmack SHAQ

Lifer
In another thread it was mentioned that Shaq is a roll model to some children.
I find this disturbing.
What parent would even let their child hear anything he, or any other professional athlete said, much less endorse it?

If I answer that question, I may be branded as a racist. 😱

I vote Carmack, but primarily because I'm interested in his views on 3D applications - that and Shaq is a moron.

Black people can only have athletic roll models, but not intellectual ones?
If true, Jesse and Al have some work to do and a legitimate cause.

They are many ways to answer that... We can go with most of the intellectual ones are one sided, which cause a double standard. And that most of the kids wants to be athletic.

Kids wants to have athletic roll models anyway... "I want to grow up to be like Shaq"... no one want to grow up to be like "Jesse"

Shaq of course. How is my kid going to get any ass if he's coding all day instead of being the starting center of the school basketball team?

I vote Carmack because nothing holds him back and he is the paradigm of diligence paid off. Geek or not, he is honorable and worthy of being a role model.
