Carl's Jr El Diablo breakfast sandwich

QueBert

Lifer
New to So Cal, I don't even see it or the burrito version on their web site.
Bacon
egg
pepper jack cheese
Habenero sauce
sliced Jalapenos
& deep fried cheese stuffed Jalapenos
on a biscuit.

FUCKING GOOD, if you like spicy go try this.

Franchise food is rarely ever as spicy as that sounds.

true. Though wendy's spicy chicken sandwich is kinda spicy. then they came out with the "ghost" pepper sauce. it was pretty good and a little more spicy. I did enjoy the cheese fries they had.

I dig the El Diablo Burger. I think this would be better with sausage though. Not that there's anything wrong with bacon. Maybe both?

JFC that would lay me out if I ate it for breakfast. I'll stick with my bagel and cream cheese.

This is spicy not holy shit hot, not to me any ways. But The El Diablo burger which is a burger version of this is too spicy for a lot of people. The Jalapeno's here actually have some decent heat. While I'd like it hotter for sure, it's definitely one of the most spicy chain items I've had. Last time I ate the El Diablo burger the next morning I could feel some sting in my #2 and it was borderline uncomfortable.

Maybe I have never had a real good bagel but everyone I have tried has been horrible. I have only had them from hotels though, I would take a croissant anyday

It's not a bagel if it didn't come from a bagel shop and was either eaten fresh or frozen the day it was baked. The bagged bagels that hotels and most restaurants get are crap.

Mmm, for being in a part of the country that does not have a solid bagel representation, this is as good as it gets for me.

Cinnamon Raisin + Strawberry Schmear, or Everything + Chive Schmear.

I feel very sorry for you - maybe I'll send you a dozen real bagels. Especially when you're having it with a nice fresh espresso that I know you're capable of making. 😎

That seems just silly as when people say only NYC/Chicago have good pizza etc.

It is a little silly, but also partially true. I've had great bagels from a little shop in Newport Beach, CA years ago, but in general they just aren't the same outside the NY/NJ/CT area.

Surprisingly good new fast food spicy item is the ghost pepper loaded griller from Taco Bell.

Does it have actual Ghost Pepper in it? I actually dislike the taste of Ghost Peppers. =(

Also, the El Diablo burger was pretty good (if not incredibly large). I can't see having this thing for breakfast though. Perhaps, if they sold it at lunch time, I'd enjoy it.
