based on the fact that none of the playoff contenders have a runaway candidate, i'd say Delgado is the favorite for MVP this year.

If they aren't going to give it to a playoff team player, then I think AROD should win it. But Delgado is very good, too.

If Arod had had another 50+ HR season, he probably would have won it, but he really is having an off year for him (still awesome, dont' get me wrong).

delgado is having a career type year.

delgado is having a career type year.

It's a little bit of an off year for AROD - not that off actually. They're both deserving - I just prefer AROD since his level of production with gold glove SS fielding is more valuable to me than Delgado's numbers at 1B. But if they give it to Delgado, that's OK since he's doing great, too. And this isn't even Delgado's career year either - that was 2000 probably. :)
