Which outfitter has the best extreme cold apparel/arctic gear?

Other outfitters I need to look into?

I've always wore Carhartt, so I don't know anything about Canada Goose.

I too know nothing of Canadian Goose, but from past experience Carhartt is very rugged.

It might not keep you warmest, but when you freeze to death and are eaten by scavengers or fall off the mountain your heirs will still have a nice coat to remember you by.

I wasn't aware that Carhartt made clothing for extreme cold. The worst it gets around where I live is about -15F. I wouldn't call that extreme cold, compared to the extremes in Alaska, the Arctic, Antarctica, tops of mountains, etc.

I'm comfortable outside at -15F in my Carhartts.

Another long-time Carhartt wearer. No experience with Canada Goose clothing, but I expect they're made for different uses/climes.
I've owned Carhartt "Arctic-Wear" since the 80's, and it's served me well in temps to -40 with the appropriate thermals underneath.

Burlington Coat Factory?
Get a nice heavy winter coat for under $100. Will keep you nice and warm (even snowmobiling 60+ mph with temps outside of -40)

Of course what I say is null and void if you are going to Antarctica or climbing Everest ....

Carhartt sure has been nice to me, especially at 2am throwing iron in the middle of a whiteout.

Canada Goose brings images of a beautiful bird, oblivious to the extreme temperature and cold, living happily in an environment unsuited to humans. Then getting blasted out of the air with a 10 gauge magnum by some dude in Carhartt's.

I've worn Helly Hansen's foul weather gear for many years. Well made and durable, but not inexpensive.
