About to try to pick up a used car, both services are priced equally...anyone have anything to say for which is better?

Carfax found 9 "records" for a particular car, while Autocheck only found 6. Can't see the actual report until I pay.

Neither is really that good. Minor accidents and major mechanical failures will not show up in any of those reports. The best is actually study the car you are buying and look at more than one example of that model. The worst is to shop diufferent models and not being able to compare since different model cars already drive differently, how will you know if the sound, feel is the way it is suppose to be??

I've used CarFax and ConsumerGuide. CarFax picked up odometer fraud on one car whereas ConsumerGuide didn't. In the future I won't hesitate to pay the extra $$ for CarFac
