CARFAX - Can you check motorcycle VINs?

i think i checked a VIN on a bike before....but also keep in mind that there are usually two VINs on a bike...one on the frame and the second on the engine. I don't remember if they're supposed to match (the engine and frame VINs), but if you want to truely check out a bike, run the numbers through your state police.
