Career/skill/trade recommendations?

So say I want to save up some money before trying to become an engineer.... any opportunities out there for someone with just a GED? Moving isn't a problem.

Not really. I'd like to learn to use my hands, as I'm rather clumsy, but I have no clue beyond that.

In that case I would suggest Construction, you get yourself on a framing crew and you will definetly be working with your hands and will probably cure yourself of the clumsy streak. In general that area of the trades is by far the easiest to get into and you actually make some money at it, do to the fact that construction rarely slows down. I have done a fair bit of construction in general and can say that its a lot of fun, especially the framing end of it imho.
