Hi all,

I've been working the tech field for 10 years now. Every place I go work at seems to be chaotic. I just want to learn the technology through whatever means and then troubleshoot that tech or questions with variations of issues using that base knowledge. However, my experience seems to be that no one knows how anything works. There is no documents that show technical info like how a system works with an in house particular api, or how vendors get our system data to work with , etc. so instead, when stuff breaks I end up looking like a chicken with its head cut off.

my question then: How are you all learning your technology enough to be successful or is this just the same case for all you as well? because right now, I'm thinking of ditching the tech field all together.
