Has anyone had any experience in this area? I think Florida has growth in this field (Miami especially). What sort of career path is involved?

1. Try to be a police officer/detective.

2. Get kicked off the force because you can't hack it.

3. Work as a PI.

;)

In most jurisdictions, you have to be ex-police or ex-military.

My brother was one for a while, and he made great money; however, he could no longer put up with the insane hours doing absolutely nothing. He would sit in his car for sometimes 12+ hours in 100+ degree heat watching the same damn door all day. IMO, no amount of money is worth such a banal existence.

Details? If not too personal.

looks like he is a lawyer, so he must have paid for a client's case, and the client will pay him back at the end. i am sure he cannot declassify that info.... (why he hired a PI).

Probably had something to do with an 8mm tape found in a safe.

My father-in-law is a PI. Of course, he's a retired detective.

Thanks for the input. I have to admit, waiting in the car for long periods of time might start to get old...

This is simply not true.
