Care to explain Dual Channel DDR to me?

Please?

I have a dual channel board but I only have one stick of 512 in on of the slots. Would I see a again by going to 2 x 256 dual channel?

that percentage gain is correct, depends on application. But then again if you overclock the 2x256 might hold you back as opposed to 1x512

I believe higher density memory is harder to overclock. Therefore, making the 2x256 solution easier to do so. :)

Yes and No. I can keep my Kingmax sticks cause I'm not having a nforce2 board and I believe KT400A does not have DC DDR. :p
