I can run it wonderfully browing and checking email for hours, but the second I enter a 3D game or application it locks my computer up...

Current setup
Tyan Tiger 230 mobo
dual pentium 3-1000 processors
antec 300 watt power supply
Ge Force 3
SB Live

I installed the latest drivers from cardexpert, I also got all the windows 2000 updates I could find... what could be my problem?

Well, I don't know anything about power supplies, but the dual setup and a GF3 probably hog a lot of power (along w/ 7200 rpm drives and multiple cd-roms...)

Does anyone know if the 300W is enough power? Please ignore if this is a stupid question, I'm trying to learn here :)

Afraid I don't have any answers, I just have the exact same problem. Mine was an Asus GeForce 3 with a new 1.2 Athlon, A7A motherboard, 300 watt power supply, SB live 5.1 and I was operating off ME. After troubleshooting for a week I took the whole darn thing back to be rebuilt. They're suggestion was to go with a more stable mother board (Asus CUSL)and a pentium 933 and work with Windows 2000. I will be more than a little ticked if the soliution to this mess was merely to download the driver 12.90.
I will be looking for more similar postings to this problem. Hopefully a solid answer will be found.
Thanks to the guy who provided the 12.90 address

Unfortunately, that solution didn't work. I think the power supply is the problem as I have confirmed it on a few other boards. You may want them to have a look at the power supply. I am about to buy a 400 watt in the next hour, but I was hoping somebody would give me a suggestion.
