a friend bought a Ericsson g89 wireless cellular card from T-Mobile and apparently it's an Expresscard and her Lappy is Cardbus, she would like to find an adapter at a B&M store. I bet Frys would have it but I'm wondering if anywhere else would? Best Buy isn't turning up anything, as isn't Circuit City.

She'll probably be better off returning the card. That kind of adapter is kind of a specialty item that you will have a hard timing finding in a local store. Now all the adapters i find online only allow a PCMCIA to be plugged into a Express slot.

well it's the only card T-Mobile sells for cellular internet, and as far as I can tell no company makes an expressbus version. I ended up finding the adapter locally but it's $75 bucks. She has no other alternative as she wants cellular internet and already has T-Mobile.

I will pass along what you said and see what she thinks though, thanks man :)

isn't Cardbus & PCMCIA the same thing?
