Cardbus Problem

Hi folks, I'm hoping someone will have a suggestion on an issue I have. I recently bought some custom cardbus cards that turned out to be Type III. Unfortunately, I can't find any newer laptops that support this size of card, it seems to have become obsolete. The only thing I've seen that would work is a PCI adapter that will accept the card, problem being that I'd really like to stick with a laptop. Does anyone know of someone who makes a cable or extension card that could be used to bring the connection out where we can plug in the card?

Thanks.

As I recall, Type III uses two PCMCIA slots. Just about all the newer laptops have only 1 slot (saves weight and size, and now many functions are built in). I don't know of any such adapter - the market probably would not support development or production. IOW, your requirement is pretty rare these days.

But - here is one adapter that might work for you:
