Card Tricks

Earlier this morning I was at school and one of the guys said he could do card tricks. I figured "Ah, it'll just be one of those lame tricks where he hides something."

But he gets out this deck of cards, the backing on the cards is red. He pulls out the Ace, 2, 3, 4 of hearts and puts them in order. He flips them over, spins them in hishand, flips 'em back over and they're in a different order and one of the cards in the middle is flipped over. He does this a few times, flipping different cards.

I think "Sure, he could have done something with his hands that we just couldn't see."

Then he spins them again, flips 'em and says "Looks like there's no difference, right?" and then, of course, we agree. He then flips them over and the back is now BLUE! He grabs the deck off the table and the backs to those ones are now blue aswell.

Anyone got any links or is able to explain how some of these kinds of card tricks work? I'd really like to know. =/

If he let you examine the cards then it was all slight of hand and he switched them out somehow. If he did not allow you to see the cards, then he might have had a trick deck of cards. I had a deck of cards where if you flipped through it a certain way it would look like the deck was all red (hearts and diamonds) and if you did it another way it would be all black (clubs and spades).
