card suggestion for CNC3-TW Dell 3007WFP max settings

I have a Dell 3007WFP and would like to run Command & Conquer 3 - Tiberian Wars at full res (2560x1600) with max video settings (AA, detail, etc).

I have a X6800 w/ 2 gb ram and would like a suggestion for a video card that would be able to do this. would the 8800 gtx or gts do it? if so, anything cheaper? i basically want the lowest series or cheapest series of card that will do this.

i dont know the game but 8800gtx sli is probably the best u can do, personally i think you made a mistake in buying the 30" monitor for gaming... you were probably better off getting a LCD HDTV in the 27"-32" if u wanted a large footprint to game on. those HDTV's have lower resolutions which dont require much graphics power to game but still look awesome

If you just want a huge screen with great quality, then run your games at 1280 X 800 - exactly half the screen's native res and it won't look nearly as bad as running a LCD at non-native would normally look. At that resolution a X1900 or 1950 or a 7900 series card would be fine. Doesn't take a ton of power at all.

If you want full native res and best quality, you're seriously going to need another 2GB of RAM and 8800GTX SLI to get good framerates. A single GTX would run great, but not at max detail on everything.
