Long blog on it here. I get a call from them a few times a month. Been going on for a year or so. Searched the web and apparently lots of people are getting these calls. Being on the no-call list doesn't matter to these guys. Nor does it seem to matter if they are calling a cell (that's where I get my calls).

Anyone else get this scam call?

Mine goes just like this:

I just got a phone call from a "private caller" (that is, with no caller ID information) ( Amused: mine shows a different spoofed caller ID number every time) and heard a recording from "Card Services", who claimed that my credit card's interest rate was about to go up and to press 9 if i wanted to lower it to 6.9%. Being bored, I pressed it.

Caller: Hi, would you like us to lower your interest rates?
Me: Who are you with?
Caller: Well, would you be interested?
Me: Who are you with?
Caller: We are Card Services.
Me: So, you're not affiliated with my bank?
Caller: slams the phone down in my ear

I guess they weren't.

Why do you have to ask questions? I got my APR lowered to 8% from my previous 27% APR. Woooooo. I went and bought a new plasma the next day.

I got a call yesterday from "Card Services" Saying they could raise my Credit Limit.

I hung up because i only use my Debit Card... and unless they're giving me more cash.. they're not raising nothing.

They are giving me a free iPod, I just had to give them my card number and security code for verification porpoises.

But seriously, yes I get those calls too. I just hang up since scammers like them pay no attention to the Do No Call list.
