Hi. If a card has dvi, vga & hdmi out. Can I run 3 monitors on each 3 connections for 3 separate displays? So if i had 3 1080p monitors my total display would be 5760pixels across?

thanks

Most cards can only do two displays at once, even if they have three physical connections.

Some of the newer ATI/AMD cards have a technology they call "EyeFinity" which allows up to three displays on a single card.

If you want run 3 displays, you'll need multiple cards, or look into EyeFinity.

You need an ATI 5 series or 6 series card to run 3 displays at once off a single card(you'll have to do some research not all models support it). And one of those outputs would have to be through display port(you can buy a converter to connect to vga or dvi monitors but it must go through the display port output on the card).
