Here's my problem. I've had 2 PNY 6800gt's fry on me over the past 3 years (no overclocking) and now my warranty is out and they wont replace the third one that has broken.

I'm running AGP, with a P4 3.0, and a gig of PC3200 ram.

I'm hoping to extend the life of this computer by a year or so, by adding another gig of ram and replacing the video card.

I don't usually max out my games, and I'm not looking for this thing to run Crysis. My only concern is that I just bought a 22" WS monitor and I don't want to take a performance hit instead of a gain.

If it helps at all, I usually play FPS's. Fear, quake 4, CS 1.6 (can't run it with my onboard), HL 2, Farcry, etc... I used to run everthing at 1024 but I'm hoping to up that a little but and not see a big decrease in Frames.

Thanks for all your help guys.

Oh, and I'd really appreciate a card with a lifetime warrant so I don't get screwed again.

1950pro sounds like on of the few options. I'd get rid of that rig though, with cheap ddr 2 prices and what not, an upgrade won't be that expensive ...

You wouldn't think so, but I pay for college this month and currently have no job.

Checking out that x1950 pro
