am i not looking hard enough or are there no card reader discussions/reviews.

anywho, i'm looking for a card reader that can read the newest memory cards (sdhc mostly) and one that also has USB ports. i'm not sure if there is a special chipset i should be looking for or are they all the same...

now i have 2 in mind

Trust CR-3600
Akasa allinone 2

what do you guys think about these and do you have other suggestions.

also, how does eSATA work? do these card readers have a controller, do they somehow convert the standard SATA to eSATA on your motherboard or does your motherboard need to support eSATA and you just get an extension cable?

* Get the Akasa
* Google "external Serial ATA interface" and click on the first link

yeah the akasa one certanly looks better. have you had any experience with it Blain or do you go on specs alone?

aslo i'm still not too sure how esata works. would an external hard drive have an eSATA port and USB port for power only? Does my motherboard need to support hot plug SATA. I'm assuming that the eSATA port on the card reader connects directly to one of the SATA ports on the motherboard.

* I only picked the Akasa for looks alone.
* Google "external Serial ATA interface" and click on the first link... Then read what you find.
