Card Reader is killing me...

I just grabbed this 21 in 1 card reader for my mini sd card I just got for my phone. I have the adapter for the SD slot, but of course I can't access the mini sd card. I can recognize the card reader, but nothing when I put in the sd in the sd slot...any ideas?? Do i need drivers for these things??
 
You probably won't need a driver for your card reader but it might be a good idea to check your device manager to see if your computer is picking up the card reader.

Autoplay may not be enabled for the card reader. Have you tried going to the drive letter in My Computer that corresponds to the SD slot (removable storage) and manually opening the drive?
