Trying to get people's opinnions on which cards to get? i see the gainward are definately perfered over others. and in benchmarks i do also see that the Ti500s are quite a bit ahead of the game. Now my question being would that Ti500 see that much gain on my AMD Athlon THunderbird 1ghz? I know the Ti200s overclock verry well also. I guess what I'm asking is could you please give advice on wether the Ti500 is worth it over the Ti200 and which brands i should be looking at? I'v read this forum and found a little bit of info but the question begs asking again I feel. Also, what prices on the boards? Currently i'm leaning twords a Gainward Ti200.

I'm agreeing on the Gainward ti200, I'm running a 1.13 Ghz athlon.

As Soon as I get the Money, I'm going to order the Gainward. I really don't see a need for the ti500, when you can just OC your ti200 just as fast, for $100 less.

Plus, i believe in both our cases, due to our cpu speed, not the slowest, but not the fastest, we won't that huge of a benefit from a ti500 over ti200.

Of course, if you got the money, You can have bragging rights with the Ti500, and OC that mofo to godlyness.

Anyone elses opinion?

Gainward Ti200. I just purchased mine for $139. Why pay double the price for a card that will preform maybe 10% better? I plan to overclock it and see what it can do but I'm running off of a 600mhz Duron right now and am more concearned with getting a new processor first.

There are computer fairs in some states,

If you pick up an OEM Gforce3 for such system builders that have extra from requests that were cancelled...

say at a fair like this...

Los Angeles Computer Fair

I was able to pick up an Elsa Gladiac 920 with the factory 6 year warranty for $160.00 and it is able to go at currently 240mhz and 545mhz memory clock.

I am definately sure that the Gforce 3 Ti200 can make it past the speed I have on my regular Gforce3.

So go for it..

Gainward and Leadtek make some decent and if not great cards..

PNY I have had problems with...particularly the Gforce 3 Ti200, I took it back.
