Can anyone recommend a card for a monitor in these sizes. Monitor is most likely going to be 23 or 24" for the office at work. Computer isn't used for games or anything like that but rather for business apps, watching videos, etc. Their's so much out their it's confusing with all these model numbers and such. Don't know the differences between a 128 or 256 bit card or if a 1gb or 512mb card is needed. Just one monitor is going to be used.

Don't worry about the 128 bit or 256 bit or 1GB or 512MB numbers. I'm going to assume that the most taxing thing you're going to do is watch Blu-Ray movies at 1080p resolutions. With that in mind, a Radeon HD 4550 might be what you're looking for. They should run about $50.

throw a $100 gtx240 nvidia in it. Multi monitor support is nice for book keeping and billing apps etc. Has enough nuts to run most anything in a bussiness and when the software bloats graphically "like it does at every update" the card won't be strangled. Plus the newer version of adobe flash are getting rediculous.

$59.99 with rebate

Nividia 240 512

$99.99 out right

Nvidia 240 1gb

All those numbers are only for gaming. If you aren't gaming, any card will do what you're talking about so you're looking at cards between $35-$60 dollars. If your motherboard has onboard video you won't even need to buy a video card.

I'd pick up a Radeon 5450 or Geforce 210 but the model numbers you should be looking at are Ati Radeon 5450, 5550, 4350, 4550 or Nvidia Geforce 210, 8400GS, 8600GS, 9400GT, 9500GT.

This Radeon 5450 is $30 after rebate, fanless:
