Right know I have 9600 pRO , will I see a that much difference in playing doom3 and UT2004 if I buy 9600 xt or a card with 256MB.
 
a card with 256mb MIGHT let you play a a higher detail setting, but will most likely not have much of an impact at all. FOr under 200 bucks look at a used 9800 pro or a 6600gt.
 
Anything less than a 9700 Pro or 9800 would be a pointless upgrade--and those two are getting somewhat long in the tooth, too. Used ones should be ~$110. Keep your eyes open for the AGP 6600GTs to hit $200 if you want to buy new.
 
best agp card now for under $200 is the 9800pro

When the 6600gt's get down to 200 they will be the best sub 200 card.
