7600GT perhaps?

You need to tell us more about what's in your rig, i.e. how many optical drives, fans, etc. and whether your PSU is a good quality branded one or some generic model.

And of course the ATI Radeon 2400 and the ATI Radeon 2600 should fit within a 300W PSU's capabilities...

You'd just have to wait a month or so...

Cool, I can wait a month. I heard the ATi stuff isn't up to par with the Nvidia 8k series, true?

I used to be a big fan of ATI, but they've really disappointed recently. The Nvidia 8800 series kicks a$$, ATI/AMD need to get their act together.

The "top-end" card isn't as fast no (the 2900XT, although I still bought one)..

But the lower end cards apparently don't use much power at all (the 2400 is passively cooled, no fan required), and the 2600 is a single slot cooler.. not a dual-slot like the 2900..

How they'll perform is up for debate.. but if I were you I'd wait and see... you can always get the Nvidia card if they aren't to your liking..

From the reviews I've seen, it's no slouch... however it's not as fast as Nvidia's top end card (however I'd bet that driver revisions will bring more performance out of the card).

I've got one (the 2900XT), but waiting on a new power supply to arrive to run the beast. You shouldn't need a new PSU for the other two (the 2400 or 2600)..

Plus they're both DirectX 10.. which may or may not be a bonus..
