Carbonite Online Backup, $5/mo, unlimited storage

Carbonite claims to offer unlimited data offline backup for $5/mo, they claim you can backup anything to there servers for offline storage including applications and mp3's. Anyone use this service, worried if i backup my data to it, the people who run carbonite will be able to look at it whenever they want and there is always that chance they won't be in business a year from now 🙂

There faq's say you can backup 50gigs if needed, that would take forever to store/upload.

Of course that is unless you back it up as encrypted first. Just wondering if anyone ever used them.

interesting. it encrypts too. i'd be curious to see how many have tried this out...
i've been using mozy since it basically came out, absolutely love it. and its free, so you can't beat that!

I pay $20/mth to Ibackup so there has to be something very very WRONG with this picture.

It seriously defies the business laws of physics.

its non stop unlimited automatic backups not unlimited space....

ok i'm an idiot and didn't read the whole thing...sorry...

edit-just joined them and been dumping linux iso images all night, we'll see if they cancel me, hehe
