Interesting, but I don't see the point. Unless you're going to be riding your PC in case races. Now I COULD see the point of carbon fiber reinforcement in Antec case door hinges... ;)

The point IS that I keep my cases on the top of a very large desk, so they are seen.
If I placed my case under the desk.....Well it would be like putting a bag over a GF's head :p

I happen to be fond of Lian Li and Silverstone cases too.

I like my carbon fiber bike more >.>"

The power routing board is a really neat idea, I would be very interested in seeing that in more cases.

Well, to take an exotic material like CF and then do an ordinary 4x2 ATX box with it just seems like they aimed awfully low...

That's my initial response. I work for one of the major carbon fiber manufacturers in the world and I'd hate to see a premium commodity like carbon fiber go to waste in a computer case where the weight savings is mildly beneficial.

I like the woven appearance of carbon fiber.
It's not like I'm buying CF hardware for a racing motorcycle.
True, it's a little Ricer but not as bad in my mind as a CF hood on a bone stock Civic. :p

If they made a smaller version of that case (so that it doesn't take up a huge load of space), I would actually be tempted to buy it given a reasonable price.

I wonder how hard that caes would be to mod. :)

EDIT: I'd love to have a case that I didn't have to worry about the finish so much. I love the idea of these cases...

BWAHAHAHAH-DOH. That's harsh. :D Actually Carbon Fiber wouldn't be that great in such an application. I'm thinking more of titanium, like those unbreakable eyeglass frames that can flex. Break the door off? Just pop it back on!

Glass-fiber is often mixed in with the plastic to reinforce speaker bezels. They're nearly unbreakable.

I'm willing to bet that that's relatively low-grade carbon fiber they're using. I know that kevlar is often added to carbon fiber; I wonder if something cheap (nylon?) could be added instead?

Hey GY im guessing this case must be hella light. Carbon Fiber is also hella expensive so im scared to see the pricetag on this baby.

But carbon fiber has poor heat transfer no?

Noise problem..ever heard of barrier loading?

I wish they would make 1/8" steel cases. I have to mod every case I get with 1/8" roofing sheet to deaden sound.

There's minimal heat transfer through the walls of the case anyways, most of it is through the vents. We were talking about this when everyone was debating about steel vs aluminum cases.

I like the look of the case, windows on cases are nothing new, but the window on this sucker is huge and looks pretty sweet. Don't really have a need for a Carbon Fiber case but if the price is right, this is a killer looking case and I'd love to own one

Is this a technology forum? IMO carbon fibre's only cool when it gives a tangible performance benefit. If it was just about cool-looking caes, why should you care if the cool looks come from carbon fibre or not? Call it a cool-looking mesh-look case, and use whatever give you that look or some other... But if you're pointing out carbon fibre, that implies some specific technical benefits, so.. let's have some benchmarks!

Weight? How much?
Noise damping? How much?
Vibration damping? How much?
Cooling impact? How little?...
