Car woes...

Damn thing. The wife drives a 92 Subaru Legacy AWD, and I went to drive the kids to the grocery store this afternoon. Battery was dead. Went out, bought a new one, installed it, works fine. Went to do some other work to the car (new wiper blades for winter, rain-x the windows, etc.) and I hear this click noise. Then nothing, then again. About 10-12 seconds apart. This is without the key in the ignition. Turns out, the auto seatbelt on the passenger side must have a defective sensor or something, as it seems like it is trying to slide to the forward position, but then doesn't. I monitored it for a quite a while, and it did it for a long time. Make a long story short(er), I had to disconnect the battery until I can get it to a mechanic tomorrow, as I don't have any idea where to find the sensor, let alone disconnect it. Anybody ever hear of such a wierd thing?

Why not just pull the fuse for the seat belts?

Thought of that. Tried it. No luck. So it's not as obvious as I might think. That's what we get for having all the power toys on that car.
