So this morning I'm driving to work and i hear the wind whistling off of my car. I had the windows rolled up and i looked to see the edge of the tint. It was about 1/8" away from the weatherstriping. I get to work and notice, from the outside, that the window is tilted forward slightly. There is a gap at the top-right and top left (driver side) and the same on the passenger side. I am able to move the window into position where its suppose to be but if i roll it up it will not go up straight. I assume that there's something loose/worn out on the lift mechanism? I figure the easiest fix is to replace the lift mechanism.

This is a 91 Accord w/ manual windows btw.

I have the same problem with the power window (driver's window) in my 1988 Accord. The problem is that the forward support has snapped. I have managed to just live with the situation for three years now by simply applying a rearward pressure on the glass during the final half-inch or so of upward window travel. Once seated properly the window will stay until it is lowered again, at which point you will have to repeat the process. It's annoying, but to me it's far better than messing around inside the door. Apparently it's a real PITA to remove the door panel.

EDIT: Only a small part of the lift mechanism needs to be replaced IIRC. Then again, the setup may be different for power windows and manual windows.

Used to happen in my Sundance when I rolled the window up while driving. I guess the air pushed the glass in, and I'd have to push it out to roll it up all the way.

Its not hard to take off the door panel. I have a rattle in the driver door anyway that I want to fix. Anyway, I did some looking and it seems I can buy a new regulator (lift mechanism) for about $60 plus shipping. Doesn't look like I can just buy a "forward support". I'll double check with the dealer. I need to replace the main relay first tho.
