A nassau cop was tailing with his lights and siren right behind a car. They were going 55mph the whole time from exit 34 all the way to exit 27. There was a truck right infront of the chased car, and plenty of rubber necking gawkers around the 2 cars. Wasnt a real chase as the car being chased had plenty of opportunities to change lanes or drive faster. Instead he drove a steady 55 the whole way through.
Finally ended when the cop pulled up next to the car and then the 2 cars slowed down and finally pulled over. There was a lot of debris in the air so im not sure what, if anything, happened.
Question - does a nassau cop who chases someone all the way into queens still have jurisdiction?
