My car was broken into last night in my driveway (nothing was out within eyes sight), and I lost around $20 worth of parking change, 5 bags of jumbo Jack Link's jerky, 2 large bags of candies (2.2 Kgs), a box of Sharpies, a pair of Oakley sunglasses, a flashlight, a baseball cap that I got from NASA, and my pride. The criminals didn't take my GPS, Samsung Galaxy S3 docking station, Klipsch headphones, and 20 CDs.

That said, what is the best course of action?

Get a surveillance camera (please suggest model), and leave a 5 dollar bill on the dash. Or, get a car alarm and a dog?

The lost sense of security: priceless

Your next step is to get a bag so you leave nothing in your car at night.

nothing you could do, so what if your surveillance camera caught the face of the burglar? cops ain't gonna do anything for a petty crime like that.

if it is in your driveway, i suggest getting one of those motion-detect spotlights.

Wow, dumb of them to leave the more expensive items. Were they hidden in the trunk?

....... ATOT must be slow, no parody thread yet. 😕

I had motion detector lights in the past, and it pissed off the neighbors because it randomly turning on through out the night due to moving branches, dog, cats, etc...

The jerkies, and candies were in the trunk, the rest was in the glove box and in the center storage console.

I always make sure to lock my car up every night.

I also lock inside an angry rabid wolverine.

My car is totally safe.
