Car tint in winter

How warm does the weather need to be for me to have tint professionally applied to my car windows?

I've heard doing it during the winter can cause more air bubbles.

Right now, highs are in low 20s with lows at about 0F.

i heard that the tint won't take to the window in low temps like now. just wait until spring.

I would think the professional doing it would know the answer. If not go somewhere else.

Wait till summer. No real reason to have tint when it is that cold out anyway. Tint is to keep the car cooler in the hot sun.

Well I just want tint because it looks cool, I'm not worried about the effects.

lol ... that's how it started for me when I was 17, but once I got it tinted, from then on I wanted tint in every car for it's function over it's look.

lol, rice it up, yo!

I had my SHO tinted in the winter by a professional, heated garage though, waited 15 minuted for the car to warm up before he started to tint it. Charged me $150 for all the windows at 5%, I live in the sticks and the cops dont care, everyones cars and trucks down here are tinted, lokked kick ass and he did a really nice job.

My SHO before I sold it.

Same guy tinted my Firebird and the same guy will be tinting the 99 Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor if I get it tomorrow.

It isn't the installation that is the problem. The instructions for my tint said it needed to cure for 2 weeks in the sun before I could even roll the windows down. I'm not sure if heat had anything to do with it or just the light, but I would think it would.

He told me not to roll the window down for a day, after that it was ok. My tint never gave me a problem for the 6 months after that I owned the car. I would guess who makes the tint would have a play in it as well as who puts in on and how, where too.

When I got mine tinted he said just let it sit in the sun and let the sun take care of any bubbles if there were any.

The guy gave me a lifetime warranty for 10% all around (4 door jetta 1.8t) for 150$ + a nice tip I gave him.

I think he was implying that doing something only for the looks and not caring about the effects is ricer-ish....

I.E. fart can exhaust that makes less power etc etc..
