Hey guys!

...We are now leasing a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the included Uconnect entertainment system is pretty awesome. I really love the voice recognition stuff and the fact that I can ask it to play a song, by name, out of my 3K + library.

Question is, are there any aftermarket, single or double din units out there with similar capabilities ?

...I'd like to upgrade my camry's stereo if possible

Thanks!

I did that.....people like you take the time to reply with no useful information.....

A lot of the results are either for the same system in Ford vehicles and for HD Media receivers that have voice recognition for bluetooth calls / dialing.

....this is the garage ?

I just want to hear from someone who has a good device to share the model # and experience.

I guess I could find some over @ jvc or kenwood.com, however, that gives me no real world use or feedback

Love the Uconnect in my Chrysler, so many connection options. When I was shopping around a few months ago for amps and speakers, I think, I saw the Alpines with 7" screens with nav that had voice recognition. They weren't cheap though.

I take it back...it relies on your smartphone...incase you're interested:

Thanks......

I've been searching for a while now, and most devices somehow do this through android / or IOS.

A company named Parrot apparently makes some devices capable of this:

Looks promising...

Thanks again!

So I decided to give android a try.....

I have a spare Samsung galaxy tab 2 7" and with an app called "car tunes" I can do the voice search through my library.
This is done using Google's voice recognition software. Unfortunately, google will either understand English perfectly, or Spanish perfectly, but not both @ the same time (The Uconnect can :)

I will have the tablet connected through my car's bluetooth connection, and well, she can play angry birds on long rides :)
