I'm going to take back the Insignia NS-c5111 unit I got to weeks ago because it is impossible to read the display while driving during the day(there is no dimmer option to make the screen brighter)

I saw a JVC KD-G420 and a Sony CDX-GT300. Both are the same price(10 bucks cheaper then the on I currently have.)

What are the general opinions on these to units?

I sort of like the Sony one but it's a Sony so I'm a little reluctant to buy it. I don't want my Nissan infected with their DRM crap 😉

each company makes so much stuff that you probably wont get any exact reviews here.. you might want to try caraudio.com's forums.
 
i have the sony and it works great. i really like that it plays mp3 cds and has the aux input where i can plug in my ipod. remote's also handy...easier to use than pressing the actual HU. the only annoying thing is that it beeps like 3x after i turn off the car to remind you to take off the faceplate.
