I have a 2000 Ford Taurus, it has the Mach stereo system, but I've been wanting to upgrade it forever to something better.
The dash is all digital so they don't make an aftermarket replacement kit. There's really no place to instal a new desk. So last week I had the disc changer, which is mounted in the center console yanked and a Panasonic head unit put in. The installer had to make a custom casing for it so it would fit and not move around.
Only problem is I found out afterwards that the Panasonic needs to be mounted at less then a 30 degree angle, right now it's straight up and down, which is causing is to skip like crazy.
anyone know of a head unit that can be mounted vertically? Or maybe even of an aftermarket digital dash replacement (buttons, not knobs) for a 2000 Ford Taurus?
