The problem: the right tweeter stops playing above a certain volume

When I measure the impedence of the tweeter, it comes up anywhere from 20-50 ohms. If it were bad, it should just come up infinite. So, what could be the problem? Could it still be bad? When I reverse the RCA cables going to the amp, the problem seems to go away. Now, I know the RCA cables are good and the speaker wire is good, so what's the deal with the tweeter? I'm going to switch the tweeters on the crossover and see what happens. Right now, they are biamped. Should I just bypass the crossover completely and hook them up directly to the amp? Sorry for the confused problem description. If you've got any suggestions, please post or pm me.

You might have a half fried regular tweeter or just a piezo tweeter, which gives those kinda of impedances (higher imp @ lower freqs, lower imp @ higher freqs)
Never hook them up directly to an amp unless:
-The amp is only feeding it the proper frequencies (2k and up)
OR
-It's a piezo tweeter

Swich the tweeters and see what happens, that's probably the best idea for now.

Well, I messed around with it some, and the problem seems to have gone away. I guess it was just one of those things. I installed some new RCA's while I was in there messing around. Everything sounds just as it should. :)
