Car speakers <100

I blew my rear speakers in my car, and need to get new ones. But the fact that i have no clue about car speakers is holding me off right now. Any suggestions on speakers under $100? I need some 6 1/2 speakers. Was looking through best buy and I remember seeing some pioneers and sony xplodes. Also anyone bought speakers from best buy? do they come in pairs or is the price they have on the shelves for singles? Looking for something simple not anything extravagant. Something in the mid range, like compared to a comp vid card it'd be like the gf4 ti4200. Not too crappy and not too high quality, any suggestions?

installing them is pretty damn easy.. i wouldnt pay a dime to have another install them... all you do it plug them into the clips on the postive and negative sides.. it litterally took me 30 seconds to do mine.

Most places charge anywhere from $19-$99 on installation, depending on how difficult it is to get it in there. Do it yourself - shouldn't be too hard. Unscrew the screws holding it in place, replace. (Usually) You need to make sure the mounting depth is alright, and top/bottom mount. Go to crutchfield.com and look up Car Speaker basics

alright guess which ever speakers i go with i'll see if its too complicated. any other suggestions then the infinity reference 652i?

depends on your car, on my car you have to take off the whole side door panel, which was really a pain in the ass because i had to remove all the controls(power window, door locks and crap) and unplugg them before removing the panel.
the difficultty of installation all depends on your car.

I don't concur 😀 Boston makes a far better speaker than Infinity. Go to a local Hifi-Buys and check out the Boston FX6 series.

Honestly, I have had both infinity and BA speakers in my car, and I couldn't tell any differnce between them. The main reason I like the INfinitys is because they usually come at a cheaper price 🙂

I have some used but very nice Pioneer 3-way 6x9 speakers and they come with 3-way front speakers as well, not sure of the size. I could let them go for $40 plus shipping if your interested. E-mail me to let me know.
