I just replaced my stock head unit with an Alpine iDA-X001. My front speakers are 6.5" and my rear speakers are 5.25". I want to replace my car's stock speakers with these:

Front Speakers
Infinity Kappa 62.7i

Rear Speakers
Infinity Kappa 52.7i

Is installation of these speakers simply going to be drop in / pretty much plug and play? The Alpine has these specs.:

Power Output: 18W RMS x 4
- measured at 4 ohms and < / = 1% THD+N
- S/N: 80dBA (reference: 1W into 4 ohms)
Max Pre-Output Voltage: 2V / 10 k ohms

Crutchfield includes adapters to plug my stock speaker wiring into these new speakers. Question is, since these are 2-ohm speakers, do I have to do anything special with the wiring or can I simply plug the new speakers in?

I don't want to add an external amp. and have to put new speaker wires in. I just want to use my stock wiring as is with the new speakers.

I highly recommend you avoid those speakers if you're planning on using them with a headunit. Most headunits are rated at 4 ohms and as you mentioned those speakers are 2 ohms. They will be drawing more power from the headunit which it wasn't design for. It's going to run a lot hotter than normal and can shorten its life and burn out prematurely. Look for 4 ohm speakers instead.

Your amp will need to be 2-ohm stable to run those speakers. Definitely don't run them off your headunit.
