Car speaker question: How do you install 6x9's in the rear....

well since I'm probably getting this 2005 malibu....the rear deck speakers don't appear to be 6x9's.....so how exactly would I go about installing the 6x9's in it? Would that be some sort of funky bracket???

why don't you just get 6.5 ? you already have 6x9's?

You're saying there's 6.5" rounds back there, and you want to put 6x9 ovals? Won't be easy, you'll either have to cut bigger holes, or use a special bracket. I'd say just get some 6.5" speakers.

Edit:

According to Crutchfield, the 2005 Malibu uses 6x9s in the rear deck...you sure they have 6.5s back there? If so they're using an adapter for it, just take it out and put your 6x9s in.

Have you checked Crutchfield. They have a bunch of 6x9's for the Malibu.
