Have an '89 Accord LX-I sitting in my driveway without plates since my dad got a new car. We're looking to get rid of it - perfect running condition, though physically has imperfections and the A/C doesn't work.

Anyway, would it be worthwhile to even list this online or should I go with local paper fees? Never done it before so what are the costs involved? What about listing fees on eBay (how long, etc.) ? Never sold on eBay before.

How would you try and get rid of it ? I think it can still go for $500-$1000 ...

I think it depends on where you are. If you live in SF, then ebay is probably a good way to go. Make sure the auction says that you are open to on site inspections.

If you live in a small town in buttf$@&ville, then I would go with a local paper.

$70 for the listing, and then a small percentage of the closing cost. At least that's what it was in march when I sold my friends VW Beetle.

What are the chances of me selling a car on eBay when I have no prior feedback ? Was that $70 fee for a 10-day listing, other, or until you sell your car? The closing fee is very little indeed.

BTW, I live 45 minutes east of NYC.
