Renting a car for a week for vacation.. any idea on those insurance and things to get or avoid ? thanks

Your auto insurance should cover you. In addition, most non-entry level CCs offer added protection.

If you rely on damage coverage from your credit card issuer be sure to check which vehicles they cover. My card does not cover trucks of any kind.
