Car Rental Question

I need to rent a car tomorrow night until Monday. The price is actually fairly cheap - $80 for the whole weekend. The trouble I'm running into is the insurance... That's $125 more bringing the total to over $200.

It seems there are a few choices:

- I'm told that if I use a certain credit card they will cover me in an accident. is that true? If so, this is an option.

- I'm told my personal car insurance would cover me liability and collision wise. I called my rep, and she said she can add collision to my insurance (I don't have it right now, only liability and comprehensive) but it would be cheaper than the car rental insurance. Is this a viable option?

- Should I just pay the $125?

Thanks!

Call you CC company, I imagine they might know what is covered (and yes, some cards do offer protection).
