Car Registration Renewal Question

Before I stand in line for an hour at the DMV, I just wanted to know if there will be any problems if I try to renew my mom's registration on her vehicle? I have all the paperwork and everything, but I'm not the owner of the vehicle.

She can't go right now, so I was going to do her a favor.

Shouldn't be a problem, I've renew the registration on my car, but it's still in my dad's name.

I have to get mine smogged check. But I just need to take it to the shop behind my work, they do it, the info gets electronically transferred. Then I go online and pay the amount. A couple weeks later I get a sticker in the mail.

We've used on-line registration here in Kahleeforneeya for many years. Of course, unlike some states, we don't have the "Safety Inspection" racket...only the smog inspection racket...
