Car question - emergency

Drain it and refill to be safe. I'm not sure about the boiling properties of wiper fluid

We're new york city folk and have no ide a how to do this - safe to drive to either CT for xmas or a gas station for a professional to do it? if one is available today!

boiling wiper fluid is like boiling soapy water...soon enough plenty of foam 😛 so unless you want the fun of cleaning foam out of your system dont even move that car....buy a flush kit and flush it as well as you can

Did he pour it directly into the radiator or the overflow? If it's the overflow I'd just siphon the bottle out and then refill with a 50/50 mix of anti freeze and distilled water.

Then buy some of this (no mixing required for 50/50 mix antifreeze...just pour it straight into the radiator).

I never liked that 50/50 mix. You are paying the same price as 100% anti-freeze and you only get half antifreeze and water.

If it was the kind of washer fluid that has a very low freezing point, it will have a high
acohol content. This could be tolerated in a large capacity cooling system, like a big
American engine. If it's a low capacity(volume) cooling systen, like a little 4 banger, I would
drain and fill as suggested above.

Gets kind of cold back East this time of year. 😀

But for people who pour windshield washer fluid into the radiator, it's kind of the only way to go. 😉

Ya know, when you put it that way...
