Car question - car bucking/lurching/whatever...

I drove my 1997 Saturn SL2 (manual) with nearly 118,000 miles to work with no problems whatsoever in decent weather. On the way back, it started raining pretty hard so I was driving pretty slowly (30-35 MPH).

Everything was the same except for a small bucking/lurching problem I'm having when I shift up from any give gear (i.e. 2nd to 3rd). I ease out on the clutch and put my foot on the gas (NOT FLOORING IT) and the car bucks once, then accelerates normally until I take my foot off the gas again and if I put it down without shifting, the car will buck once again before smoothly accelerating. So the bucking problem happens:

1. If I ease onto the gas while shifting and letting out on the clutch.
2. If I take my foot off the gas (while still in gear) and accelerate again.

Any ideas?
