Car People: Opinion of Aftermarket Catalytic Convertor for Hondas

Anyone see any problems with using and aftermarket Cat with a Honda, specifically a CR-V??

Looks like mine is bad and I don't really want to shell out $600 dollars for an OEM one.

Any recommendations on brands, sources?

To tell you the truth, they're all pretty close to the same thing. I would ask the peeps at Autozone or Advance Auto or Napa about warranty info for what you get.... From what I've seen, Napa usually has the higher quality aftermarket parts....but Autozone has the best priced. (and they're usually very good parts)

I say go for it - I know CatCo is a popular company that makes hi-flow cats. Try Summit Racing's site, they've usually got stuff cheap there...

Yeah the catco cats are around $50 at Summit and they are high performance cats too .
