I have seen several articles on the web lately about people adapting a computer for their car. I am thinking about adding a shuttle sv24 system with 256mb of ram and a PIII 1.0A along with a MOBILE AUTHORITY M-50 LCD. I was looking for any input or suggestions from people who have had any experience of just think they have a good idea. I want it to play mp3?s, DVD?s and map features. I am also wanting to add a wireless NIC (probably 802.11b) that why I can easily up load songs on other stuff. I also need some help and suggestions on what to do on the car audio side. I don?t know that much about car audio and am looking for some inputs as to what type of stereo to buy. I obviously want it to hock in with the computers audio. Right now I see it like a trunk mounted computer. The LCD would be mounted up front on the dash and connected via s-video. I am going to use a wireless trackball mouse for control. I don?t plan on using a keyboard. I figured I could use some type of on screen keyboard like they have on palm?s where you just click on what letter you want and it types it. There would also be a DVD player mounted in dash. Instead of trying to find a Flex ATX Dc power supply I was planning on using an Ac to Dc converter. As you can see I have quite a project in mind. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Just incase anyone was wondering the car is a ?92 Honda Accord (Ya ya I know not very slick or stylish, but it is a good car and runs well. Plus it is free, so that just leaves room to mod it.) So please help!!!
