Car Manufacturers

The obvious poll, where you select your current favorite manufacturer based on current models for sale.

What car today do you think goes from ok to stunning when heavily modded?

And for the record, I chose Nissan/Infiniti. I think Nissan makes great vehicles, although I do drive a Mitsu.

The one car I have seen modded and look just beautiful is a Hyundai Tiburon. Pics1Pics2

I've owned the same Acura Integra since before I had my license (8 years ago). One thing I've learned is that foreign cars are pretty reliable. However, when they do break down (which they will, especially after 200k miles), they are an absolute bastard to fix. To do it yourself is murder, to pay someone else to do it is worse than that. My next car will definitely be American just because I do all the work myself and my knuckles don't have room for more scars courtesy of foreign cars. 😛

Saturn? Pontiac? 😛 Not that Saturn makes anything note worthy (Though I am interested in the 2007 Saturn Sky), and the only thing Pontiac has going for it is the GTO (awesome car).

You're missing a TON of high quality brands (BMW, Mercedes), yet included some very obsecure and cheap brands (Kia/Puegot)

I have to go with Mazda or Honda.

I currently own a Mazda, so I might be a bit biased, but they have a great lineup available. The Mazda3 is a great entry-level sedan/hatchback, good looks, great price. The Hatchback is loaded and comes with plenty of options, If I was looking for a car like that, it would personally be my 2nd choice (with the Scion tC being the first). It handles well and has decent power

The Mazda6 is a a beautiful looking Sedan, I love it. It is by far better looking than the Accord, Camry, Taurus, or whatever else is out there in the same segment. Mazda is currently planning on releasing a Mazdaspeed6, 276hp, AWD, and its stunning looks. Linky

They also have the RX-8 and Miata, great sports cars. While I'd rather have an S2000 than either one of them, they're both great cars. Both are lacking a bit of power, but none the less, they handle well and are fun cars to drive.

I love the fact they try to incorporate fun and sportiness to every single one of there vehicles (MPV/Tribute aside). They have a solid, affordable, and great looking lineup. That Mazdaspeed 6 though.... yummy 🙂.

Honda has the S2000 as a sporty car, and thats all I want. They have the Acura lineup, which is wonderful. All of there Acura cars look brilliant. Unfortunately, they're all FWD (aside from the RL) 🙁. I'm not a fan of anything in the Honda segment (aside from the S2000).

I had a Mazda 929, and I can say they used to be made a lot better than today. Mazda3's look good but kinda small. I'd rather get a scion myself.

Yeah I'll add Saturn, the sky did look pretty interesting. Pontiac... I thought about it, but really all they have is the GTO and G6, so if anyone voted for it I'd have to say they were a moron and I'd rather not have to insult anyone's taste here tonight. Although to be honest, I don't like Mercedes at all, but I did add it :/

Ford owns Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin

GM owns Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac GMC, Oldsmobile, Saturn, Hummer, Sabb, Holden, Opel, Vauxhall

Daimler Chrysler owns Mercedes (Maybach, Mercedes-Benz, Smart), Chrysler (Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep), Setra, Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star Trucks, Fuso

Those are the big three.

Then you have Honda, Nissan, Toyota are teh major Japanese makes. Honda is Acura, Nissan is Infinity, Toyota is Lexus. Subaru and Mitsubishi Motors are Japanese too.

Volkswagen AG (Audi, Skoda, Seat, Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini), and Porsche, BMW (Mini and Rolls-Royce) are european/german makes.

And then you have your various exotic makes like Ferrari (Maserati).

Well I can see maybe one manufacturer out of all that worth mentioning, Jaguar. A lot of them are not well known or don't produce a big enough line of vehicles to matter.

Uh....I think you need to do a little more research into cars if you think Jaguar is the only make out of those worth mentioning...

I may be laughed at for it but mine happens to be Chrysler, I have a nearly 20 year old K-car that shows no signs of stopping any time soon. And my GF recently purchased a PT Cruiser, Both are fairly simple to maintain and decently engineered.

no matter how much you try, your poll still sucks

Not taking reliability into consideration I've got to say the domestic manufacturers have been doing one hell of a job making interesting cars. Among the few are:
Ford Mustang
Dodge Magnum
Pontiac GTO
