I have had my 2001 Honda Accord for a little over a year now. I bought the car at ~27k miles and it's now at ~38k. I've been getting regular oil changes and other than that, the car is running great.

My maintenance required indicator has been flashing recently and is now on permanently. After looking in my car manual, it says the car should be brought in for regular maintence when this happens.

What kind of things should I have done to my car for it's checkup at this point in it's life. I'm going to get an oil change and my dealerships has a 27 point to point inspection thing I was thinking about getting done. They check the ENGINE, DRIVETRAIN, BRAKES, SUSPENSION AND STEERING COMPONENTS

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

That's odd. You shouldn't need maintenance until 60k on a Honda. Then you get your trans flushed, coolant and radiator flushed, brakes, spark plugs, tires rotated, a/c recharged, and air filter changed.

My Honda has 5k more to go until I hit 60k.

That service indicator is mileage based. Check your owners manual to see if there's anything that actually needs to be changed/flushed. If not, just continue changing the oil and follow the schedule in the manual and reset the service indicator.

Yeah, Mine goes on when the oil needs to be changed.
