Car lease ad Mini-RANT

Squisher

Lifer
Why do all these dealers advertise prices without some standard down-payment price?

Why not advertise a lease for $0/month and in small print show a down-payment of $7200 for a 24 month lease?

I need a calculator to comparison shop.

What makes you think leasing is not smart?

For me, there doesn't seem to be any other smart choice. Why should I pay an extra $200/month for the privilege of telling people, "yeah, I bought it"

I now am going to go through the hassle of selling a vehicle which I've been paying $500/mo. at 0% since 12/03 in which I'll probably net $2000, when I could have leased for $300/mo.
